This is my semi-promotional, semi-information crowdsourcing page for a book that I am writing, on: globalism and the anti-globalist movement, mass migration, rising social instability in the West, corruption in the charitable/non-profit/humanitarian/development-aid sectors, populism, nationalism, digital censorship, and the ideological take-over of various public institutions throughout the world; with a heavy emphasis on the role played by the United Nations and associated NGOs in each and every topic listed. This is a very clunky summary but that’s usually the publisher’s job, anyway.

I could use some help! I am fortunate enough to not need any financial assistance, but I am always open to receiving tips or leads on potential areas of research: if you think that you know of something that would be relevant to the aforementioned topics (or even if you want to recommend me a source to check out), please feel free to contact me via the menu link above. If it’s something really useful, I will credit you in the Acknowledgements if you want me to.

Additionally, I am looking for individuals to interview — in particular, I would be very interested to talk to any one of the following:

  • Current or former volunteers/employees of a charitable or non-profit/non-governmental organization, national or international, particularly those doing work in: immigration services, social cohesion/community resilience, anti-racism/social justice, cultural preservation and/or promotion, prevention of violent extremism, development projects, and poverty reduction;
  • Current or former employees of the United Nations (any entity), or anyone who has worked with them in close capacity;
  • Current or former employees of the public education system, particularly that of the UK, Australia/New Zealand, or an EU member-state;
  • Any other current or former public-sector employee, with experience working in any of the fields mentioned in the first bullet;
  • Anyone else who may have relevant experience with any of the above, professionally or otherwise; or anyone that I have not mentioned but feels that they may have something worth sharing.

You do not have to provide me with any identifying information beyond the country or countries where the experience took place and in what field (i.e., you do not need to tell me the name of the company/organization unless it’s necessary for context); nor will I publish any information provided without your expressed permission to do so — if you would like to provide insight but do not want me to share your story in the book proper, that’s fine. If you do consent to the use of your story, I will run my retelling of it by you for approval before publication.

In return, you will be credited anonymously in the Acknowledgements (unless you consent otherwise); I will also send you a free copy of the finished book, if you’re interested.

Wait, you’re writing a book?

Yep. I’ve estimated that I’m about halfway done with the manuscript as of March 25, 2019, with a current page-count of 136 (without formatting), just so you know that I’m not fucking around. Of course, the total length is just an estimate — I discover something new to add practically every day, so it may very well end up being longer.

Why “KWK”?

The original, working title was Killing With Kindness, up until I discovered that there is already a book under that name on fairly similar subject matter, so I don’t know that I can (or should) still use it. I’m still referring to the project as just KWK until I can come up with something else.

What’s the target audience?

It’s as “normie friendly” as it can be while still being fairly in-depth and informative. This has been easier to do with some chapters than with others, but it does not need to be read chronologically, either. My goal has been to make it as politically neutral as possible, however this does not mean that I don’t call bullshit when I see it. That said, it is an objective fact that the left-wing of the spectrum is far more involved in the majority of the topics covered than the right-wing; my heavier focus on the former rather than the latter is based in necessity, not ideology. All in all, anyone looking for a scathing critique of the left or a glorification of the right, for that matter, should probably read something else.

As has been said elsewhere by much more well-known people, the issue isn’t so much between left and right these days, anyway — it’s between globalism and nationalism, elitism vs. populism.

Are you actually going to get it published, and will it actually sell?

One way or the other, yes. In the event that I am completely unable to do so through an established publishing house (there is some interest in the book now, but that could always change) then I will self-publish and, provided that I sell at least some copies, try to re-pitch it for as long and as often as it takes. I’ll DIY the whole goddamn process, if I have to.

I am only hoping for it to be as successful as it needs to be: owing to the subject matter, I hold no delusions about this book becoming an international bestseller or anything along those lines. Even if only one person reads it, I’ll consider my job done. I am quite honestly not doing this for money; I’m doing this because it is an incredibly important and vitally relevant subject on which I firmly believe that everyone should be better educated, be it through this book or otherwise.
