What is this site?

This started out as a place for sharing articles and videos, as well as written essays and original research, on the subjects of globalism, elitism, nationalism, populism, technocracy, current events, culture, society, and so forth. There is a specific emphasis on how all of these topics affect “the little guy” — the peasants, if you will. Much of the political focus is inspired by events and happenings in my homeland of Canada, though the writing itself is, by and large, internationally-applicable and relevant.

As of 2020 I have become far too burned-out by All That’s Been Going On These Days to pay much close attention to the news cycle. This being the case, you can expect to see more works of fiction posted here from time to time. I’m considering whether or not I want to start writing about the more interesting things that have happened to me over the course of my relatively short life time — of which there are many — but this will only happen so long as I feel confident that the subject matter will be at least somewhat entertaining to a general audience. In other words, stay tuned.

I also have a BitChute channel featuring audio versions of some of the less image-intensive posts here (currently a WIP), and you can follow me on Twitter (@aewade1) for less eloquent hot takes.

Can I link to your posts or share your content on my/another site?

Absolutely. If you do reproduce anything I’ve written or compiled elsewhere for whatever reason, I only ask that you link back to where you found it or otherwise credit the site in some way.

Why the name?

The name is from a Sargon of Akkad video, as a comment on an incident in which the British, pro-EU MP Anna Soubry was, much to her dismay, repeatedly called a ‘Nazi’ by a group of pro-Brexit protesters (a label she herself is quite fond of throwing around), by saying something to the affect of (addressing Soubry), “You’re only mad because these uppity peasants had the nerve to give you a taste of your own medicine.” Say what you want about Sargon, but I thought that was a pretty apt analysis: the rising tide of populism really is looked down upon by the political elite as representing a bunch of “uppity peasants.”

Who are you?

The short version is that I am more or less just someone with a double-edged sword of personality traits — curiosity and a loud mouth — who does not already have much of a reputation to ruin.

The longer version is forthcoming.

What are your beliefs?

I am “politically homeless” in the sense that I do not fit neatly (or even mostly) into any of the labels currently in use that I can think of — but ideological purity has never really been my thing, anyway. I am most definitely a nationalist and somewhat of a traditionalist; I place a very high value on freedom of speech, association, and conscious; generally speaking I have a plurality of heretical political positions, likely too many to list here. I outright reject the utility of the left-right dichotomy as I believe it is largely irrelevant to the contemporary political landscape; to the extent that it does matter, the views expressed here tend to incorporate elements of both.
